They should have pitched Maxwell game 1. You don't hope you win game 1 then fall back on your ace to win game 2.

Anyone here happy Texas beat the pokes? Yeah, me neither! I dislike the longhorns most of all. Can't wait to thump them tomorrow.
I was hoping OSU would win. I did not want Texas to be able say they are the only unseeded team to make the finals. Now we have to run rule them twice so they know they were unseeded for a reason.
Not so much for baseball. I was glad Hogs won. The Gators were complaining that our game should have been called off until today. Any excuse to justify OU beating the host team at home.

Yes, that's exactly what you do. It's what OU did. Maxwell isn't the biggest, strongest pitcher in the world. She needed as much rest as she could get. She had 48 hour rest, but she was really worn down. You could see it. If the Poke defense hadn't choked bigtime, she likely would have survived, but they didn't. You could see their nervousness all day.
And btw, that is the exact same decision that 5 Natty Patty made, because it's the right decision. OSU's players kind of assumed that since they'd beaten Texas 11 or the last 12, that winning one would be automatic. Those are too often, the kind of lessons in sports that you learn when it's a little too late to fix it. Let's hope OUr players don't make the same mistake against Texas.
Dang Plaino, 5 natty Patty has a nice ring to it. The five will change though. I don't believe that this OU team will be nervous nor overlook their opponent. They are going to be the Dominant force that OU softball has become.
I was hoping to play the Pokes. We revenged the loss to Texas and UCLA. The Pokes were next on the list. Hopefully this championship only takes to games.
How does that work with double elimination and both team's already losing 1, do they still play a 3 game series?
