Held off on reporting this until I got clearance, but I can now let y’all know that four-star WR Zion Ragins will be taking an official visit to Oklahoma on the weekend of June 9.
I’ll admit that I wrote this one off, but Emmett Jones recently turned the heat back up on Ragins (i.e., post-Keyon Brown) and I’m told Oklahoma is ready and willing to take his commitment. To answer the inevitable question, no, that would not impact their pursuit of Bryant Wesco; the Sooners are prepared to make room for four receivers in the 2024 cycle. I have that on very good authority.
In speaking with a well-placed source on Ragins, I’m told Tennessee is OU’s top competition here. Distance will be the main barrier that OU will have to overcome with Ragins’ family. But Oklahoma is running no worse than second here.
Further evidence that Emmett is a hell of a recruiter.
