An espin overhaul in the offing ?

I don't watch espn but I do not want Politics mixed with sports, thats why I don't watch much of anything hollywood puts out. Quite a few actors and actresses including musicians have turned me off for good because of their political rants. They are being paid to Entertain not give me their Political views.

I don't care what party an entertainer supports, but I'm tired of seeing actors being so silly and blatant about their politics. This may not prevent me from watching a good movie, however.....although these days I don't see too many good, thoughtful, creative ones being made anymore.
BTW, if one wants to see blatant Hollywood propaganda, watch "The American President" with Michael Douglas or "Dave" with Kevin Kline. Somewhat entertaining, but very liberal oriented.....and as usual, the Republican side is demonized.

I take it you weren't a big fan of Transformers: The Last King?

For a moment imagine that all of the most left leaning, well-moneyed liberals in Hollywood got together and asked, "If we could make a movie where we completely threw out all intellectual and ethical considerations and made everything serve our political agenda, what film would we make?"

Imagine someone in the room, in a moment of weakness, suggested that the actual, truthful historical record mattered. Now, imagine that someone being summarily eschewed to the exit, boot to butt.

Imagine that sort of ruthless agenda governing the conception, direction, and production of a nationally released film.

The movie they would (and did) make is "Vice."

It makes Dave and The American President look like encyclopedic documentaries.

"Vice" simply confirmed my decision to leave the Republican party. Understanding that the movie is really a lampoon and not a serious critique of history, it still conveyed a message that resonated with me and my political process. When my former governor, whom I voted for twice as Gov. & once as Pres. went to war in Iraq, I said, enough is enough and I pulled the lever for a Dem. for Pres. for the first time in my life.

You do understand that the guy sitting in the white house now is basically an entertainer right? A bad entertainer, but an entertainer nonetheless.

I voted for "W" twice, to keep Al Gore...then John Kerry...away from the White House and not realizing that Dick Cheney would be running the country. Had I known better in 2000 and 2004, none of these three would've received my vote.
To his credit, Trump nailed Jeb Bush during the debates by mentioning his brother's role in creating the Middle East quagmire....but then Trump puts neocon John Bolton in as National Security Advisor. This makes me have some doubt about who's behind Trump, or what Trump is thinking.

It is my firm and absolute belief the ONLY reason DT won the election is because of his opponent. That being said, if presented with the exact same choice again, i would vote the same way. She was far and away the worst candidate ever presented for election by the American people. Blame the democrats if you like but we had no choice given the options.

This is what I believe as well. On the day Trump was declared the winner I was euphoric over Hillary's political end. She's the most divisive, most overrated politician I've ever known.
But at least KFC named a meal after her....the Hillary bucket....two large thighs, two small breasts and two left wings.

Whoaaa Nelly... This was a "what if" ESPiN really does what they say for once ?

We know where to be if we want to discuss the Distracting word of the day...
You mean like most politicians? The only one of those who did what he said he'd do, is a favorite whipping boy around here.

No thats only because this happened to you. If you still had them you would see things differently.

Stay OT or I'll have to report myself to the authorities. Besides, there isn't one dang person on this forum who will gladly self contribute 70 percent of their earnings in their stocks to the gubment since the current admin took over

Respectfully disagree. Trump would have kicked Sanders ass as well. Clinton was the best candidate and only hope the Democratic Party had.
