I've never been much of an NFL guy. I don't have time to watch games. But there is a nagging question I have, having to do with attendance. I read a lot about attendance being down, but I don't believe much of anything on the news sites anymore, any of them. So I'll ask the guys who know.

Is there a real and noticeable decline or is that all just typical politically-driven, agenda-driven news media BS? Is attendance discussed by the announcers during games?

Some of us “old timers” have had our fill of the taunts, prison yard scuffles and professional wrestling confrontations that are now the NFL’s trademark...which now seems to be gaining ground in CFB as well.
The me-first, unaware-of-game-circumstances actions of NFL players are plaguing NFL football.....which even when it was a better product, in the days of Butkus, Jim Brown and Unitas, the NFL has never been as fun to watch as college football.

I haven't watched an NFL game in years. No clue myself.

This loser and others caused me to stop watching. When Kenny Stills took a knee I was officially done with the Dolphins. I am 50 and have been a Dolphin fan since I was in 1st grade. The suckage by the Dolphins over the years has been tough enough but the taking of a knee and disrespecting the flag was it for me. More of a College Football fan anyway so I doubt the No Fun League misses me.

Football attendance being down? I think it's all relative really.
Down since when? The NFL has had huge gains in it's fan base for many, many years running. Network TV might be struggling w/ content delivery as well. Meaning there are many ways to watch a game these days besides sitting in front of a TV. I have no numbers to speak to, but I don't see it myself. I mean I have not heard of any major sponsors leaving the NFL. But I'm in Houston. Here most fans have quit watching the Texans because they pretty much suck. But I think these same peeps are hiding behind the idea of a few NFL players kneeling. Keep in mind, the owner of the Texans is the foolish public speaker that called them inmates of a prison. This comment set off a firestorm here in Houston. This whole thing is already blowing over and in a couple of years it'll be nothing but a hic-up in the grand scheme of things.

Not sure how much of an indicator this is but I was contacted by the Cardinals organization before the season in 2012 about season tickets. I took them up on an offer to visit the stadium and facilities. Due to my ever changing work schedule I declined the offer for 2012. The available seat locations were not all that good and the cost seemed very high. I have been contacted every year since but they have really turned up the sale pitch the last 3 years and seat locations are much better. The price is no better. I have a friend that was season ticket holder for 24 years until this year. He dropped his tickets because of the political antics of the NFL, not particularly the Cardinals

Some people are turned off by the political crap that is going on in the NFL. I love football, so I watch on Sunday's. I have always been a huge Bronco fan. Attendance is down in Denver right now because they suck. I will continue to watch them every week though.
