As someone who has followed recruiting since 2001 and has a pretty good idea all the trends and nuances of recruiting, the new posters to recruiting who post negative things constantly really irritate me. The more seasoned watchers of recruiting know that you benefit the most from a good season the following recruiting class. We understand that dead period in December doesn't bring in a lot of commits. We understand that if you don't have a ton of visitors in January it means you are usually in good position with the kids you're trying to get in that class. We use to watch kids take at least 3 to 5 officials and knew that if a kid took and official in January that it didn't mean that OU was out and that school that was getting an official was automatically going to get that kid.

I realize a lot has changed in the last 15 years of recruiting but it hasn't turns upside down. if someone that hasn't followed recruiting long asks questions, I understand. But i see to many times a newbie not asking questions and making huge assumptions on OU with no facts to back them and presenting them as facts. They have very little idea what they are talking about and they just irritate the hell out of me. Even when the facts don't back the narrative they want, they still post their negative Diatribe because they want their narrative to be that OU sucks.

Some will be pissed at my post, but quite a few that know a thing a two about OU and recruiting in general know what I speak of and feel the same way
