From what I saw of Rattler today, he looks like he could compete for the starting job right away. I don't think there's much doubt that all three of the receivers will be out there on Saturdays next year.

I wish Rattler was enrolling. I can’t see him coming in August and winning the starting spot. Not saying a red shirt year is a bad thing. We’ll just wait and see. Whoa...
It will be tough, but they all get there about June 1st, start taking classes and working out together.

Haselwood is a great talent but he needs to be reigned in with his on-field antics.

Good God. The dude hasn't even donned an OU jersey and you're already complaining. Tap the breaks & go look out your front window. Someone's walking across your lawn.

Your responses are as weak and over-reactionary as they are predictable.
I made an observation. That's not complaining.

It's complaining. You can call it what you want. But it's still complaining.

Along CT's line of thought, I noticed that Wease was pretty “demonstrative” in the UA game, too. I'd like to think it's just high school kids having some fun during their time in the spotlight. We all know that the first time they get leveled by a 240 pound college LB on a crossing route, they'll abruptly realize that their HS glory days are over. I'm confident that LR will get any ego and antics under control. To be overflowing with talent is a problem we can all live with.

PS nobody's walking on my lawn right now because it's covered with snow.

In college football, unlike pro football which resembles a prison yard rumble with fights, taunts and game altering personal fouls, some celebrations lead to penalties and some of these penalties are flagged by an either incompetent or just a touchy zebra. So why risk the outcome of a game ?
Maybe it's a good idea for a coach to harness SOME celebrations of his team. Any idiot should be able to recognize a celebration that's out of control and/or taunts an opponent.
These players train hard and practice hard during the season and deserve to jump around and chest bump without showing up an opponent whenever there's a big play made...so I'm not referring to most forms of emotional release by the players who are having fun and enjoying the moment.
I'm referring to sportsmanship.

Can you specifically identify what Haselwood did that you find wrong? Perhaps I missed it. Perhaps we have different acceptable standards. In either case, I'd like to know what it is that would make you post something in a thread celebrating his selection of OU.

He celebrated as he approached the goal line looking back at a defender. Then he choreographed an elaborate “motorcycle ride dance” with a handful of teammates. This act won’t fly at the next level. I believe Riley will discourage that kind of celebration.

I believe he will too. I also believe he won't have to. This was staged because the game, the circumstances called for it and also allowed it. It's another glorified exhibition game.
