3 sets of Lincoln twitter eyes out right now...

All I've seen so far is an announcement by a preferred walk-on.

Can we please start landing Defensive trophy fish for the love of God almighty? The 3 pups we have at WR coming in have that area bolted down and we got to have solid defensive depth....

A new age may be upon us.....we can express concern about the defense here without offending or pissing off someone.
Grinch may be the best DC in CFB, but he needs players and depth at every position to succeed. When ?

Hope that not too much damage has been done to the Sooners D reputation. Now is the time to sell this stronger more aggressive D and put the laughable and sluggish D to rest. I do not expect to see a 1985 D right away, but I do expect some difference makers to show game. I just see Ronnie Perkins and that is it. Bookie could be that guy if his confidence and his better coaching comes to fruition this year.

I don't think the defense is an afterthought. Half of the 2019 class is defensive recruits. Given the change in coaching, and the impact that could have had on recruits, that is great. While there is only one current defensive commit for 2020, it is early yet. I don't think it reflects on recruiting afterthought or reputation damage.

The defense HAS BEEN an afterthought, but Grinch's hire has to be viewed as a step in the right direction.
2019 may represent a less challenging schedule as West Virginia and O-State have new QBs. OU does too, but Hurts is a proven commodity who has come from a conference where defense is played better.

New commitment from Ryan Watts, 3 star CB out of Texas. He also had offers from Notre Dame, Texas, TAMU, Ohio State, and Michigan, among others. He's taller, at 6'3", than any corners I remember us recruiting.

WV has a new head coach too. Will be interesting to see if they are as good as they have been offensively without the mad scientist.

With all the information available to scouts and coaches it's not hard to put together a scouting report that includes the majority of the offense that a team runs anyway. I doubt the playbook is going to help them at all.

Only issue would be if they would have knowledge of the sideline signals. I'm sure they will change along with some of the plays.
