I was just thinking last night comparing the 2008 OU Team to this (2015) team. At first without thinking much about it I thought the 2008 Team was much better. They had Sam Bradford, Demarco Murray, Germaine Gresham, and Gerald McCoy who were all-time greats in my mind and not to mention the offensive line that all were all NFL caliber. But the WR position (even though Iggy and Manny were there) left a lot to be desired. We had holes like crazy on defense with LB the thinnest that position has been (after Lofton left early). The Kicking was at an all time Stoops low (feakin' Jimmy Stevens). And not to forget that Murray was injured for the championship game.
What are your thoughts on the comparisons. Obviously the 2008 Team fell short. Which would you take in a matchup against each other? My initial reaction was 2008, but when I think about the entire team, they may be equally good.
