Another "B" coach at Oklahoma, Biff Jones (1935-36 at OU), while he coached at Army (1926-29), had the interesting distinction of being Notre Dame's opponent in the 1928 game played at Yankee Stadium in the "Win one for the Gipper" game, won by ND 12-6.
Notre Dame's 5-4 team upset Army's 8-2 team in that game.
Biff Jones' record at OU was only 9-6-3, but he compiled a decent overall record of 87-33-5 while coaching at Army, OU, LSU and Nebraska.
