10 reasons College basketball is better then NBA

What an abhorrent list wreaking of silly ideas commonly floated around by hearsay rather than observation.

1) Name the last "one player" that won it all for his team.
2) Traveling is called at both levels, but traveling rules are different at both levels. That's the reason it seems different. Different rules equals different play.
3) Name a preseason tournament that's interesting and that fans actually watch. These are usually just one good team getting an excuse to travel overseas and put on an exhibition against vastly inferior competition.
4) Upsets don't matter in the NBA? What? Because there are 82 games? Someone has apparently never paid attention to the NBA and watched teams left out of the playoffs because of one game.
5) Regular season means much more. You had trouble making up 10 things, so you just made the same claim twice in a row. Whatever. Of course 30 games weigh more each than 82 games. Excellent math skills. However, both levels come down to an end of the year tournament. College teams can make that tournament without a superb record as long as they have a few high quality wins. It's the teams that never play anyone good, or get beat by the really good teams that have to worry about their overall record.
6) One and done vs best of 7 is really just a subjective thing. Some like the idea of a cinderella spoiling a powerhouse. Some would rather know who the best team really is by seeing who can win night in and night out. And this goes on to dispute your point (8), you get to see how great coaching can make game to game adjustments in order to turn a series.
7) No defense the first 3 quarters?? Hahahaha.. this is the statement that points to not watching NBA at all. NBA players are at a whole new level compared to college. They have well-oiled offenses that move the ball and have purpose. College just looks like a cluster**** and pray that someone might find a seam or breakdown in the defense. Anyone who watches NBA on a nightly basis sees matchups that feel like Playoff games with players fighting and delivering hard fouls.

9) You pick the 76ers for your argument on the NBA having bad fans? NBA teams have 3 games a week with two of those being during the work week. How can you compare?
10) Bird rules and the new CBA allow for star players to stay put. How many star players do you really see running around the league? Name a team to any NBA fan, and a specific star player will come to mind for that team. How is that if they are all one and done as you say?

JC you should start your own blog. That guy is just promoting his. It would not be a bad strategy if he actually had something worthwhile to say.

You see terrific college players who go to the NBA and then disappear quickly. The difference in the skill level is so different, as you pointed out.

I think college football is a lot better game than the NFL. Logistics. And there are some things about NBA rules that defy common sense. But for those of us who think that a champion ought to usually be the best team, the NCAA tournament is the worst possible way to determine that, unless you are a Dukie.
