    High expectations for the Defense

No apologies necessary. I hope I’m wrong and OU wins them all.

    High expectations for the Defense

    Very unrealistic.

Hawkins isn’t ready and looks like a freshman.

Hawkins was one of the top QBs coming out of Texas last year. Way too early to speculate on his future especially with OU stockpiling QBs in the 2024 and 2025 classes with Booty and Arnold as a redshirt freshman with only one game as a starting QB. With or without Arnold my hope is that the...

    High expectations for the Defense

Unless this team can field a very good offensive line, Arnold could struggle and at least 4 losses may happen. The transfer portal needs to be successful for OU right now.

    what an ugly loss

Like any team sport, it’s how you finish that matters most.

    High expectations for the Defense

Fans can attribute a defeat due to injuries, weather, bad officiating, poor preparation, home field advantage, a more talented opponent…whatever. It’s what fans do. Get over it.

    High expectations for the Defense

Luck is a factor when it comes to a team avoiding costly injures. The championship OU team of 2000 never had any injuries or at least serious ones. The OU team of 2009 was riddled with injuries to a least 15 key players and a 5-loss season reflected the cost of those players.

OU vs Temple moved to Friday night.

Friday nights are whatever the networks dictate, like any other time.

    High expectations for the Defense

Venables has surely recruited well since the day he arrived and OU can hold its own with the top teams in recruiting. SEC competition may keep undefeated seasons away from OU, even if OU has more talent than it ever did playing in the Big12. But the expansion of the CFB playoffs should enable...

    JA time!

OU should be in good shape at QB with Arnold and Thompson backing him up. And freshman Hawkins should see action not to exceed 4 games to maintain his redshirt status. With Temple and Maine on the schedule, Hawkins could see significant action.

    OU Women's Gymnastics just had

    As are figure skaters.

    OU Women's Gymnastics just had

To be realistic, how many OU fans would trade the championships won by the softball and gymnastics teams for the football team? I enjoy the successes of all OU sports, but my interest and passion for OU football is far more important to me.

Tory Blaylock 4 star running back

One website has him at 5’10” 195, another says 6’ 197,. Who cares? What should only matter is that OU wanted him and got him, ahead of some other heavyweight football schools.

Tory Blaylock 4 star running back

Blaylock is not likely to redshirt. Sawchuk may leave after this year to the NFL. Another may transfer or get injured. Blaylock could simply exceed the abilities of other backs even as a freshman. No one can predict what will happen, especially in this era of rosters changing so quickly with...

Tory Blaylock 4 star running back

Blaylock is 6’0” 197 lbs according to Rivals. That is not “a little small”.

OU….where men are men and women are champions.

    I will not miss...

Audi Crooks scored 40 points against favored Maryland, the most points ever scored by a freshman in Tournament play, to help Iowa State come from 20 points down to win. And no one is comparing her to anyone else.

    Owen Hollenbeck

And can he pat his stomach and rub his head at the same time?

    Gabriel is looking good.

The three picks and fumble by Arnold had nothing to do with OU losing I guess.

Women's streak got to 71, but it ended Sunday.

While perennially winning teams are often “hated”, they can be good for the sport in terms of attendance. The Yankees, Alabama, UConn women’s basketball, the Celtics, Notre Dame and others have been a favorite target by fans who root against them. There’s also a jealousy factor involved. Teams...
