Has been one of my favorite recruits since he burst onto the scene as a Junior when he ran for 2600 yds and had 39tds. Came in at around 245 and is down to 218, pretty impressive and shows his dedication and commitment to want to be great at the college level. Taylor Tatum gets a lot of attention as the number 1 RB in their class but I got a feeling that X is gonna be one of people’s favorite Sooner RB’s of all time before he leaves. Also, he was running a high 4.5 around 240 so I can imagine this has only helped him in regards to his speed and agility skills.

Coleman adds another 'unbelievable' outfield highlight in win over FSU

Dug a little deeper on Coleman's unbelievable home run robbery last night, adding yet another highlight for her career:

OKC bound: Sooners sweep FSU, advance to Women's College World Series

Stories, notes and postgame video from the Sooners' 4-2 win over FSU:

Initial Thoughts on Chris Hardie

Would love to have the schematic discussion with @Bryan Clinton but a few things pop out when watching Hardie.

▫️Similar to Damonic Williams, he was utilized inside and outside. Jacksonville State moved him around quite a bit from what I could see which means he had a solid understanding of his role and scheme

▫️Athleticism doesn’t jump off the screen. Feels like a sturdy athlete who also seems to be a solid leader as he was often the first or second interview and spoke like a guy with some notches in the belt.

▫️Actually looks longer on tape than the 6’2” listing he has on the roster.

▫️Has a nice first step but doesn’t seem to
consistently beat guys to the edge but going to go a little deeper in that tonight. Seems to be better with his hands and foot work in close-area space and doesn’t quite have the length to win on the perimeter.

Either way he is experience in the room that OU needs for the amount of insanely young and talented up and comers that they have right now.

Sooners set another NCAA record with 11-3 win over Florida State

The OU softball machine continued to rewrite history books with Thursday night's win over Florida State.

Intel from Elgin this morning has led me to flip the prediction.

There is more color we’ll be able to add to this situation once the decision is final tonight, but although he has still not informed either Oklahoma or Tennessee of his choice, it is Tennessee that I now expect to be the pick.

OU Softball: Preview, prediction, numbers to know vs. Florida State

@Bryan Clinton and I broke down everything about this weekend’s matchup with FSU:

How and why Oklahoma faded in the final hours with Antoni Ogumoro

Sorry for the click-through prompt. Made more sense to format this as an actual story rather than a note. But here's the skinny.

DrummBeat: Transfer portal DL note

I have been told that Sooners hosted Jacksonville State transfer DL Chris Hardie over the last 24-48hrs.

Still waiting to hear if OU will make a strong push here, but was told the visit went well and that decisions on things are being to moving forward or not.

Let me expound on that: What we have heard is that Ole Miss may be trying to push the ante on the NIL side. For now, I’m unsure if the Sooners will push there because of how they operate. They do things like a pro team would. There is value in how they pay. An example would be the Damonic William’s’ situation, where the Sooners felt the bang was worth the buck, it is still being deciphered in this situation.

Naturally, the Sooners would love to be able to pull this one off and use DC Zac Alley’s relationship as a conduit to facilitate an easier commitment of sorts, but in today’s NIL world, that sometimes isn’t the case and relationships are deemed less relevant in some recruitments — even if Alley coached him a few years.

We are digging here to see if it will be this time around, but I do expect a decision from Hardie by “this weekend,” per a source.

Lastly, a team to watch for here is UCLA, but that was buzz on Sunday that I couldn’t get more info on. Still, wanted to pass that along, as I was told the Bruins were hopeful to get a visit if they could get one lined up.

*** I know you saw DL Adin Huntington commit to Tulane. Huntington was in the portal for a bit and that was, from what I have been told, due to some NIL “overreach” by his representatives.

Huntington took some visits to some big schools, but in the end didn’t end up taking a big step forward, despite his stats and film. Size could have played a role as well.

We are still digging on Hardie and where OU is at there but wanted a note on him nonetheless.
