2 time All-american transferring to OU

Stephen Buchanan, a two-time All-American and three-time national qualifier at Wyoming, announced today his decision to transfer to Oklahoma.

A positive outlook for Gabriel in 2023

I’ve been as frustrated as you guys have been with DG and I’m no sunshine pumper especially lately but I think we all could agree he shows flashes of greatness & that the line from good to great can be super thin.
According to the numbers he’s great on 1st & 2nd down & terrible on 3rd which tells us his issues are a great deal mental & he’s got to get better when the pressure is turned up (easier said than done I know). But Sometimes players make noticeable improvements to the flaws in their games during offseason and let’s hope he does.
He was 10th (good) in QB PFF ranking for 2022, wouldn’t that be cause for us to have more optimism than pessimism?
There’s a good chance in 2023 he improves his game, & becomes one of the top QBs in CFB. This isn’t necessarily a prediction, just a possible path I don’t hear many talking about. He’s in the drivers seat to have a phenomenal 2023 if he can get his mind right when the pressure is on bc he has the talent to go from good to great.

Cant wait for the man JA to create some competition in the QB room!
Hope this novel I wrote was enjoyable.

Things Could Get Interesting With Enow Etta (Update 12/2 @ 4:30 PM)

Etta is real quiet about his recruitment. He's been to multiple places where he's specifically requested that reporters withhold info about his visit. Even if things do heat up between he and OU, it's unlikely many would know about it. So I wouldn't read a whole lot into it even if it's been quiet on that front.

Collins Acheampong was an integral piece of his comfortability with Michigan. They're both African (perhaps from the same country). And they were both going to room together. They both started taking visits elsewhere at exactly the same time. And they both came out on the same weekend and told reporters that they were solid to UM. Well, Acheampong just flipped.

Something to monitor.

Update 12/2: Multiple sites reporting that things are quietly cooking between OU and Etta.

The biggest mistake regarding BV x CW

I know hindsight is 20/20 and we can all say maybe a few mistakes were made regarding immediate success for this szn.

If we could inject BV with truth serum .. do y’all think he regrets not paying CW the 5 Mil Carl and co asked for? I mean that alone would have us guaranteed at least a few more wins. We beat Baylor KSU and WVU with CW. Maybe even competing for a big 12 championship....

I’m not saying CW didn’t force his hand and have no knowledge on the real discussions that went on behind the scenes for retaining his services.. or if he was ever going to stay even if we did get him his bread he wanted.. but just interesting to think about how real was his supposed wanting to stay a Sooner. We heard that the entire time, he wanted to stay he liked Oklahoma .. etc etc.

Also I wonder what the tipping point was regarding the discussions. this is not ment to be a serious thread just pondering if maybe that was a mistake and we should have given him the money. Or if we made the right decision and maybe that would have masked our roster limitations and the proper blood letting we are due would have been delayed or something to the effect of not as potent as it’s going to be. Just big picture thinking here that’s all ... flame away.

Joel Klatt Story - Dan Cody

Didn't see it already posted... I listen to Klatt as I feel he has a pretty good perspective. He had a fun story about the Big12 Championship game in 2004. 25 minutes in.

Anyone in this locker room got the balls of Dan Cody? Remember him passing out on the sideline? That dude cared!
