Whats up yall?

An impressive start to the season and have really enjoyed watching Hurts and your guys make plays on both sides of the ball. I bring my dad to one Big 12 away game a year and we have chose OU, incredibly excited about visiting (the game scares the shit out of me) Norman.

Can yall give me some recommendations on dinner, nightlife, good bars? Also, any recommendations on lodging? I have checked Airbnb and most of them are bought up already.

Appreciate anything yall can provide. Go easy on the Mad Hatter this weekend, guy is in over his head and as always, Horns Down!

Hotels usually book up pretty quick. Probably pay upwards of $200/night for decent room in the area.
You can stay south of Norman on I-35 45-60 minutes and have a relatively short drive on game day.
I've been in Houston now for 26 years, so I'm not going to be much help with bars and restaurants.
If you gamble, you can hit up the casino just south of Norman on I-35.

I've got a bit of experience in this field. Your best bet and most affordable options are in OKC. I recommend anywhere on I-40 west of downtown no further than airport road. Marriott has a wide range of choices of accommodation. Food, drink and moderate entertainment is best found in the Bricktown area of OKC on Friday night. The further south you go on I-35 towards Norman the more expensive the hotel become. Norman is great on game day but I find the Friday nights to be a far younger crowd with a typical assortment of over intoxicated pups that thinks they are the next MMA superstar. I usually attend with my daughter (21 this year) so I tend to move in areas that attract fewer horny pups.

Thanks for the heads up, we are staying in OKC Thursday night and most of the day Friday before heading to Norman.

Any breweries or good pubs you can recommend?

Isn't this a felony these days?

Essentially, they are the softest program in the country and Tommy will whine about anything to gain an edge. I can see why your rivalry is like it is, dealing with those fans for decades must be exhausting.

Check out the Cowboy HOF and the OKC bombing memorial. I'd stay in the Bricktown area. Campus Corner for gameday is where all the action is. I think the Switzer Center is closed on gameday.

100% agree on the Cowboy HOF. I don't disagree on the others, I just haven't experienced them.

Just be glad you don't have to go to a game in Lincoln. They have a 2 night minimum for Nubby games and charge anywhere from 350 to 500 per night.
